Announcing a new meeting for Diabetes Exercise and Sports Association-Bay Area Meetup!

What: Saturday Hike - Shell Ridge Open Space

When: Saturday, May 31, 10:00 AM

Who should come: EVERYONE come on out! There are beaucoup trails to select; we'll organize the group by skill level or by how long you wish to hike. Children and dogs are welcome; dogs need a leash, kids need their parents!

Why: Come get to know DESA and tell us what we can to get people with diabetes patients moving daily. This is a park is a beautiful venue. The hike will lift your spirits and encourage your exercise efforts!

Meeting Description: Directions:
From 680 N:


Turn Right onto 24 (N)
1st Exit Ygnacio Valley Rd
Turn Right onto Ygnacio Valley Rd. (S) zero your trip odometer
Turn Right onto Homestead (W) trip odometer reads 1.0
1st Left onto Marshal (S) trip odometer reads 1.2
Drive to end of Marshal and park. trip odometer reads 2.3
From the entrance, walk 100 yards left and then up the trail to the Water Tower




MEETING TIME: 9:45am. Meet at the Water Tower
HIKING: We'll be heading out at 10:00 am, plan for ~1 hour on the trails
GEAR: Wear comfortable shoes, there are paved trails if you prefer. Hiking shoes or boots for those who want the off-road adventure. Bring hat, sunscreen/jacket, and PLENTY of water. There is very little shelter here; this hike will happen rain or shine.
